Jennifer Lopez is ready to reunite the world.
The 51-year-old singer and actress is one of the many celebrities who participated in Global Citizen's VAX LIVE: A Concert to Reunite the World event, which was filmed earlier this week and will air around the world this weekend. Lopez is joined by Selena Gomez, who will host the broadcast, as well as Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, J Balvin, and H.E.R., who are all slated to perform in the concert, which aims to increase awareness about the COVID-19 vaccine and encourage people to get vaccinated.
On Friday, Lopez shared a sneak peek at her performance on Instagram.
"This a new generation of people," Lopez said in the video, which included footage of her rehearsing for VAX LIVE. "We're going to accept each other, understand each other, be more loving, be more inclusive. And that's what this pandemic has taught us. That night is about everybody getting the vaccine so we can come back together. It's about reuniting the world."
In addition to musical performances, VAX LIVE will also feature appearances by Prince Harry, who, along with his wife, Meghan Markle, serves as Campaign Chairs for the event, as well as President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Ben Affleck, Chrissy Teigen, David Letterman, Gayle King, Jimmy Kimmel, Nomzamo Mbatha, Olivia Munn, and Sean Penn.
VAX LIVE: A Concert to Reunite the World will air and stream today on several TV networks and platforms, including ABC, ABC News Live, CBS, YouTube, iHeartMedia broadcast radio stations and the iHeartRadio App, starting at 8 p.m. EST. You can also stream it online below:
